JOSEPH K.

“A unique and captivating sound, with layers of youth and character.”

About Me

Since age five Joseph K., (aka Joseph Kando) has been listening and mimicking voices from different mediums, from cartoons/anime/games to television and radio commercials. Watching the actors portray different characters in various cutscenes introduced him to the craft of voice acting. Over the years, he gained the ability to voice the characters himself and eventually developed his craft as a VA. He had discovered multiple genres of music, including Pop, Rock, Hip-Hop, and many more. He was hooked.

It would later influence his career as a singer at a young age. His music teacher, Mr. Gilbert, gave Joseph the advice he needed to develop his craft and ended up singing lead for the school choir. Gilbert then asked Joseph to sing at the House of Blues, downtown Chicago, which in-turn helped promote Mr. Gilbert’s lessons. He expressed, “Joseph has a natural ability and appreciation for music.” It would also build his interest to participate in school plays and drama classes during his elementary and high school days.

Joseph completed a commercial voice over workshop at Acting Studio Chicago with Norm Boucher as well as an improv class at Second City Chicago.
